Ulverston Ford Park Community Group exists to manage and maintain the green space of Ford Park and aims to enhance the quality of life for the people of Ulverston and surrounding area, by providing recreational facilities and a wide range of community based projects, activities and events.

The project’s core aim is to create a space that is not only warm, joyful and uplifting for the community but enhances the natural world and reduces their carbon footprint. This is a space that will host event, parties and gatherings within the local community of friends, neighbours and family but will also be a space that encourages and nourishes the creative spirit and soul of Ulverston.

The floor plans for the community centre are designed around the flexibility of the mains spaces. We have deliberately created a non-symmetrical divide in the spaces to better serve the diverse needs of the community. These halls (or hall if the dividing wall is open) will provide a generous space for all types of usage. The main halls are lit from almost every direction but particularly the North-east facing front elevation that looks out towards the car park and the fields beyond.
